2013 electric power steering?
Do all the SS models come stock with it? Anyone looked at whether it's (a) swappable to earlier years and (b) have an idea on whether it might be worth doing?

Already started a thread on this down below. Yes, all '13 SS's have this.

Just read that thread, I'm talking about whether the electric system would be a good performance modification nothing to how it handles.
Happy to follow both threads.

It would free up very little hp, not enough to make the whole thing worth it.

I saw where a stock 13 l99 put down 355ish and ran a 12.7 bone stock. Id say the power steering and dual mode exhaust would be worth doing if it were do-able. BUT, the electronics would be a nightmare to say the least. So many modules onboard that the steering communicates with.

L99 A-6s Don't come with dual mode exhaust. Only 1LEs or special ordered on M-6 cars. |

Yeah I saw where FMS posted that too, that's what got me to post this. Back in the old 4th gen days we'd sometimes run the short belt mod, run a shorter serpentine to free up some HP. I don't recall the exact gain but folks I think thought at least half a tenth.

My new '13 2SS / RS has this. Coming from a '10 1LT / RS I can say that the steering feels noticeably easier which for me makes it feel like it handles better. I prefer this to the other system, but I could see where others would not.

You really wouldn't want active mode exhaust on an L99. When it goes into 4 cylinder mode, I'm sure it would sound horrible.
