GM MSRP markup by '10. Could still afford a 1SS by then with 530.00/mo loan but I'd like to bring that back down to 500 even.
Oh well, at least it's a Camaro or Chally, and not Stang or nothing. |

Pricing, how it handles and performs in comparison to other vehicles, options, and interior quality.

I voted for "price" because while I think it's a fair price for what we're getting, I think that GM might have to consider coming down to keep the car competitive in today's market. Other companies are practically giving away cars right now, including performance models. So we'll see.
But I should also point out that in reference to the poll's title; I am NOT in market, I am perfectly happy with my truck and wouldn't even be considering buying if there was no Camaro. So there's that.

Right now it's an '03 Nissan Frontier Supercharged Desert Runner I call Starscream. On order is a 1SS/ RS IBM with Black Rally Stripes, Beige Interior, manual transmission and a sunroof! Oh, and a stereo upgrade too! Ordered from CamaroScotty in WI. How will I get my baby home? |

I am starting to think the same...hell, according to Nostradamus, it won't matter after December 2012 anyway.... Besides, if I can't afford to make the payments, I'll just let the gubment bail me out....

But in the spirit of the poll at hand "IF" I were going to have to chose one it would be ammenities. I gatta have blue-tooth which the Maro does, but the one option I've fallen completely in love with is the keyless ignition in my wifes car. Put the fob in your pocket and it's almost as if your car 'knows' you.Set it to lock automatically and it just unlocks, starts and everything by your touch. Awesome feature. |

I voted price because it is the closest to my reason. I absolutely love everything about this car but after calling around to most of the dealers in my area looking for those who still had slots to pre-order, I didn't feel comfortable putting down a deposit at any of them because the ones that weren't charging 2-5k over sticker either...
a) Didn't know how many were allocated to them and had already taken 25+ orders, but still told me I could come in and order. (yah right) b) Told me that GM has yet to firm up prices (at which point I rattled off all 5 models' base prices) Now whether this is just shady biz practices or just pure ignorance, with GM hanging by a thread I am wary of putting a $1000 deposit at a dealer who doesn't have their shit together on this car and may not even be in business in 6 months. Bottom line- GM built a great machine in this Camaro and I have dreamt of owning one since 06, but it's dealers are turning customers off with their ignorance/misinformation/jacked up prices. I am in the market now because the maintenance on the jetta is getting ridiculous and I can't afford to wait another full year. So if I can't find a legit, straightforward, NO BS dealer who will order me one at or below MSRP by the end of the summer, one of these heavily discounted GXPs or SRT Challys might get my money. Is this really too much to ask?
