Any definitive answer on 2nd gear grind? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've had my 2011 LS3 for just over a year now and the grinding is getting on my last nerve. I mostly shift 1-3, but want to get this looked at/fixed now (if possible) under aftermarket warranty. Has the reason been found? I've done a lot of searching and have not seen anything agreed upon by the masses.

Mine only does it when the tranny is cold or if I don't push the clutch in far enough. I don't push it to the floor to shift about 2/3 of the way down. If it did it all the time it would drive me nuts and I would get it fixed under warranty if i could.

You should prob search a little more. This is an old issue and plenty of posts. And, yes, use that warranty.

I always thought that grind was a GM monitor for telling me it was time to store my car for the winter cuz it always happened to me when it was getting cold outside. Now I store it and it's good to go again in the spring.
