EDIT:

I found a good thread to read before buying these...

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1460732

this guy has a lot of problems with his, and then he could not find a customer service # and they wouldn't answer his emails.

And it turns out that OBX is Ebay only... big red flag. Save yourself the headache... keep the money in the US.

Good rule of thumb: If you have never heard of the company, try to talk to customer service before you buy from them... not after the purchase.

If you have a problem with Kooks or ARH... you call them.... or the Kooks/ARH guys actually come on this site regularly.

ok with my M6 LS3 engine putting down stock 350-360WHP... can get 420 WHP with kooks headers + CAI + TUNE... (and i did in deed do this) you should be getting like 50-60 WHP with headers .. 30 WHP with headers+ tune. i mean a tune it self should be like 15-20 WHP . and the guy i was talking to got 30whp with a tune in IMO is not very good .... now if he gain 30WHP without a tune its a whole different story. its a A6 so i guess its differnt
I got 413 with OBX headers, Vararam intake and safe tune at 12.5afr. Before this I was at 377RWHP. Seems most LS3s with CAI, Headers and Tune are around 405 to 420.

Mike a dyno is a tool...I made 351RW before headers, added headers and got an 376RW, then retuned and got 382RW....I made IMO as good or better then ANY A6 bolt-on Camaro on the board and I didnt spend alot of coin...Believe me do I think the other guys headers are better, u bet I do but unfortunetly I cant afford them so I have to use my money very carefully..

I think u can understand that pal, one things for sure I would love to show u my tailights

Again Mike, a dyno is a tool, nothing more..

Agreed!! Also location with altitude temperature type of std correction used ect can effect the number game. All I can say is with the OBX, I got a ton of low end torque and very good gains across the band. My car is even happy at 45mph in 6th gear at 1000 rpm with no bogging. I am very happy with my performance gain.

31 rwhp on an A6 is typical... the M6 guys are seeing better gains

Here is my before OBX headers and new tune: (Different day but same dyno)

I was a bit rich from the basic tune I got with the Vararam from Vengeance Racing.

Now here is the dyno after the OBX Headers installed with a tune from EFI Alchemy in Green Cove Florida!!

Look at 5k rpm, it was almost 50rwhp and 50lbs/torque gain. My AFR is at 12.5 to 12.6 very safe at 413RWHP!

Nice gains! I'm really considering ordering the OBX headers.

My point was that you made your previous post about not being good numbers without knowing. Once you were called on it, you started asking pertinent questions.

There is a difference between CAI's and tunes so your numbers will vary accordingly, just like they vary from dyno to dyno. If you want to compare numbers, you need to use the same type car with the same upgrades. As has been pointed out, the gains are very similar. Same goes for ARH's, Pacesetters, TSP, etc. They will all gain close to the same amount.

Bingo. L99 is totally different when it comes to header gains. Everything before this statement is useless

Remember, When you purchase your parts from me Tunes for those parts are FREE.

So you may pay more for an American Made Product but you get full tune support.

Ted.

I have the Pacesetter 1 3/4 LT's and only paid 349 shipped on ebay! They have made good power, but when I step up to the 1 7/8 LT's I will be going with the TSP LT's! Remember to each is own and you do get what you pay for, but as long as you are satisfied who cares where it came from?! Have fun modding your cars and enjoy them as much as possible! BTW no one likes a hater but every one likes a congratulater!!!
Ace!!
