Ok, things are going to pick up again soon with my car. We suffered a bit of a delay waiting for some new parts, but we're preparing for the LSX races this season. First race is the weekend of March 21-24 in Brandenton, Florida. So, things will get busy after the New Year.

I have a question... are we required to put a racing seat in the car once the car achieves a certain time and speed? We are considering putting in a system that will let us swap a racing seat for the stock driver's seat pretty easily. But, I don't really want to put a racing seat in the car unless it's required by the rules.

As long as you have your harness straps it doesn't matter what seat

One thing to consider is who ever you have to drive your car that they are comfortable. I would definitely consider getting a racing seat for the driver as they are way more comfortable and most of all a lot safer and brace you in.

Yeah. We are going on Monday to look at seats. I will have this conversation with him.

He said he had heard that the rules may require the racing seat. I am not sure he really wants one for his safety as much as he just wondered if it was required.

If he wants a racing seat for his own safety, then we'll get one. I just want to know if the rules require it.

We got a Kirkey Pro street drag aluminum seat with cover and a Simpson harness at Jeggs yesterday.

We are taking the car to a welder on Thursday to have the parachute bracket fabricated. The welder is also going to make a bracket for the racing seat that will allow us to quickly swap the race seat for the stock driver seat. I want to be able to show the car and drive it on the street, so it is important to me to be able to use the stock seat.

We are also getting a new set of heads. We are just waiting for the new rockers to come in (they are backordered). I will post more info on the heads and rockers when they come in.

No. I am getting another set of All Pro heads. They are the best heads you can get and you couldn't ask for better customer service. I'm just swapping to a different set of heads because our hp goals have changed.

I'll post more about the new heads with pictures when we get them.
