But rest assured, I have a couple certifications and I've built an engine or two (dozen+) and quite a few transmissions. No need to argue or get pissy tho. I'm not trying to shit on your thread, I just thought it was either comical that after you following huggers thread, you decide to sell your single bolt cam. Or it's just a coincidence? But really, I don't blame you. You can ask speed shops all you want if they have seen this failure or this failure...mostly they won't own up to it. You and I both know that the ls series engines are known for oil pump problems...I was at my local speed shop asking if they had ever seen one fail or the valve get stuck. I was told no. Hmmm, we know the truth about that. Well anyway, I apologize for butting in...but I think youd get more for it on eBay. Good luck to you.

Sorry for the personal attacks..long day at work, and I had just got home and read your post. JUst threw my credentials out there because I make a living doing this stuff and see absolutely no proof these cams caused the problems (other than the pin issue that should have been caught by the installer). Actually I'm probably going to sell the car within the next year, so I have decided not to tune it and void the warranty for some unsuspecting buyer. I think it would be pretty hard to sell it with the warranty voided. My current setup has not set any check engine lights, so I'm going to keep it like it is until I decide if the car is going or not. If I was 100% sure I was keeping the car, this cam would be in already. Thats why I said if I can't get what I'm asking for it, I'll keep it and just install it at a later date should I keep the car.

I was wondering how that would work? Say you tuned your car, voided the warranty and then traded it in. How would they know? They dont normally check stuff like that on trade in. Then how would the next owner get a warranty? I was thinking about this yesterday.

No they probably don't check, but I would know and wouldn't want to do that to anyone. I know there is no warranty if I tune it and that is ok with me, but not if I plan to sell. There needs to be a warranty if I am going to sell for a reasonable price.

I gurantee they would put a new computer in it and or reflash the tuned one and then give it the mysterious 1,000 point inspection. After that they would put the normal warranty back on for buyer without them knowing any different...

Good luck to you, but im thinking your stuck with it, especially seeing thecengine failure threads with single bolt cams. Try eBay. Your best bet. I don't anyone on here has the balls to buy it.
LOL, this place can be brutal..I hear ya though. Im kinda weird I guess, I would rather put another 70 bucks or so and have brand new shipped from the manufacture..

How is any of that the fault of the cam? What about the hundreds of thousands of stock LS3 Camaro and Corvette engines running around with single bolt cams...better tell them to quit driving them because it's just a matter of time in your xpert opinion. I work on $100,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles everyday ( I'm a Master Certified Mercedes-Benz Technician and the shop foreman at my dealer) that use a very similar single bolt setup on our overhead cam 156 motors (6.3 as in S63, E63, C63 etc..). I'm growing very tired of the keyboard experts on these forums, so excuse my harsh words...but really......you read a couple posts and think your an xpert and chime in on MY classified add in an attempt to scare people away? Have you ever turned a wrench in your life ? If your not interested in what I have for sale..keep your comments to yourself and move on.

Werent we just talking about this the other day at the gas station? Whether there is 1 bolt or 20 bolts. If you install it wrong it will fail. Install ir correctly and you will have no issues

Hmmm Jason what direction are you going? If you dont want this thing anymore I might just jump on it.... Ill offer $626

This cam is for LS3 vehicles only. It is sold by Texas Speed and is their very popular 231/236 grind.
