How did you find out you are in the QC hold and what is your VIN #. Mine was also built on 6/25. I'm actually hoping mine made it out of the factory and onto the train before the tranny issue came to light. VIN# 21863

Your missing it.

Look at spastic squirrel and very few manuals are even being built. They are probably only producing a few so they can have cars to inspect. My TPW was 6/29 and I expect it to be pushed back just like others.

That is true and the way its sounding now, it could be on full constraint by the time the factory re-opens in the morning. So much for them catching up with all the orders. This will create a major order backup. Stay tuned.

if the output shaft is the issue (if there's an issue at all), the entire tranny doesn't need replacement, just the output shaft. GM replaced the output shaft in my Silverado a month ago.

remember......this is the same driveline as the base vette. this driveline is proven. perhaps there was a run of bad output shafts during a specific time, but this LS3/6MN duo is a proven combo!

True but if theres a defect and they cant fix it, they might QC hold built cars and put the M6 on constraint until the problem is corrected. Can you say Back Log???

Definitely NOT what I want to hear. If it gets delayed too much longer I'm going to have to cancel my order.

I've already been waiting 5 months. (I know, I know...... many have been much waiting longer)

Ya see, mine won't get driven much at all after mid September and definitely in storeage come November . So if it doesn't show up soon I might be better off just waiting and ordering a different one next spring for a LOT less then MSRP. I don't know if two months of driving it on remaining weekends this summer is going to be worth several thousand dollars more then if I wait another 7 months. :(

I hope to know more tomorrow.

Pehaps a blessing in disguise for me. This should push my order back for me to recoupe some cash I bled off savings to buy my wife's new ride. And more likely for mine to have less problems. I can live with that.

How is it a proven combo?

1. Different bellhousing
2. Different part numbers on the tranny than the vette.
3. Different rear IRS than the vette or CTS

Nothing proven I'm afraid.

Are you sure your not all talking about the M6 in the V6? I have not heard any problems of the tremec with the V8. This is the same tranny from the vette, correct?
There are many delivered and proven M6 SS cars out there already that are fine, so why now is there an uproar of issues?

Does the 6Cyl 6Spd also have a problem? My car is at the Rail Yard I think.
