People just keep saying its on constraint and they are not going to be built!!

Thats the Misinformation right there the hold is on SHIPMENTS!! and it is not on contsraint as of now!!

so they are still being produced they are just not letting them ship out to dealers!

i dont think you get it though. there is a very likely chance they will not build something with a defective part, just so they can cost themselves more money to ship it to qc and pay a mechanic there to fix it for them. they will more than likely hold production until a resolve is reached...

I think everyone needs to chill. I'm sure the problem will be fixed soon. The longer it goes not fixed, less money in GM's pockets because the SS is THE money horse. So take it easy on RJT. We all have the same passion for this car and I'm sure your cars are in QC hell with mine.

On the plus side, more money for our down payments!

News Flash, Manual SS's are still being built. Production has NOT been stopped.

Easy for you to say to "chill".. I am picking up my car this weekend and placing down a lot of money for a car that shipped out a week before GM knew there was a problem...

The "DATE FOUND" on spastic squirrel does not refer to the production date of the vehicle. You might see a Date Found of 7/13/09, that does NOT necessarily mean that car was produced on the 7/13. 2 cases in point, two dealer cars I know of were produced (got their VINs) 6/02/09. Spastic's "Date Found" for these 2 cars were 6/20/09. This misconception has been explained before.

But I agree SS M6 are being produced.

I think they are producing cars that already had parts ordered. Ala, they went to 3400 before the shut down.

If you are like me and just went to 3400 today, it's gonna be a while b/c apparently they are doing something with the parts supplier.
