I called and asked my dealer... he hasn't heard anything but is going to check into it, likely another "sky is falling" rumor!

Well they might as well swap the whole tranny out now than later. You probably have to remove everything inside to replace that component.

Well this figures, been waiting since OCT, got a TPW of 7/13 everything a green light then sure enough something goes wrong.....:upset:

Guys, if you want to draw your own conclusion, please go to the Camaro Issues | Problems | Warranty Discussions forum and read and dissect regarding the M6 ouput shaft. Members posted pics of broken output shaft. If this happens to more M6, then it becomes a solid manufacturing defect and GM will make an official recall/constraints/ whatever you want to call it. But at this point, it seems that recently produced SS with M6 are being held in QC.

And for you who keeps asking whether V6 M6 or SS M6.... it is the tremec M6 which is the M6 in the SS.

Oh crap...the post above confirms it. Well, there you go, SS with M6 orders will have to sit and wait and suffer weeks in delay. :( We were almost there!!!!

I sure was untill we found out that its true!!! ugghhhh we were so close!!:(

This car is turning out to be a disaster ... I'm sure some people are going to rethink their order if this is true, myself included. It's one thing to wait 8 weeks for a popular car, it's another to wait 8 weeks for a car that they can't figure out how to build correctly.

It's no secret that I'm not a big fan of the guys over at EVS. But we'll have to watch this one pretty closely....

Obviously, in general, we've learned that Dealers aren't always up to speed. So until we hear it form GM, it's not official...

i have an SS M6 on order...its been in QC for over 3 weeks now and hasnt even recieved parts..so everyone waiting on it, hold tight because its another long wait..
