It don't think it has a LS6 intake, as I saw an EGR tube in the picture.

Nope. 00s have no ls6 intakes. Otherwise my T/A would have it.

I'm going to say yes, only because I think the Z28 and SS's got the power bump in 2001.

I'd go with the '02. The LS6 intake and silver color put it over the '00. I think Pewter is one of the worst colors to come on a 4th gen.

I agree, the 2002 looks like the better call here in every way.

Yep, all LS1 4th gens got the LS6 intake swap in '01. Also lost the complex EGR system that was in the '00s too. One of the things I look forward to doing in my T/A.

Until I see proof I'm callingSLP may have done a v6 but I don't believe there were any v6 SS's.

They had a special RS package for Camaros in 2001 and 2002.

I'm just gonna call . I have not heard of SLP putting the SS package on any V6. It's easy to dress up a V6 like an SS, but it's still not an SS.
Besides, I thought the whole purpose of the SS was to dress up the Z28 and give it a slight power bump while still giving the consumer a special vehicle. The V6 equivalent to that was the Y3F package, wasn't it?

There weren't any. Methinks a Troll is involved. SLP only did a special RS if that. And that's a stretch and partial speculation on my part.

Correct for 2001 & 2002 SLP offered a rather rare package w/ left over Z/28 parts they called it the RS Package.

SLP Option code Y3B

2001- 398 built
2002- 443 built

Camaro RS package offered by SLP could be added to V6-powered Camaro's for $849. It was available for cars finished in Artic White, Light Pewter Metallic, Silver Metallic. Navy Blue Metallic, Onyx Black, Monterey Maroon Metallic, Sunset Orange Metallic, Mystic Teal Metallic and Bright Rally Red. The RS content included a front grille with the Chevrolet bow-tie logo, an interior plaque with RS badge, 3 exterior RS badges, a dual-outlet exhaust system with a high-performance muffler (adds 5-hp and a throaty exhaust sound) and black or silver striping. The black striping was not available for Onyx Black or Navy Blue cars and the silver striping was not available for Light Pewter or Sunset Orange cars.

Hope this information helps

Sean

It was the Y87 package. I had one. sometimes regret trading her in for the Z28 in 2008...sometimes.

By the way, if prices are in the same ballpark. 2002 easy
