LOL, yup me personally I would get the motor apart replace what is needed make sure everything else is up to par and start there.

Im gonna drop a dummy block (454) in just to get the front suspension "tuned" in, then get all the braking system done, then fuel cell, seats, wiring, all that fun stuff then the motor will get started.

instead of fully tubbing your car and just did a mini-tub, that would pretty much have you set for running as many classes as possible (running a big block disqualifies you from a good bit though).

Other than that.... go at it..... Just remember.... safety first.

There is a set of headers that fit pretty well especially with the better k member you have i just dont remember what they were. I want to say 2nd gen hookers

I was looking in the Kooks headers buuuut the price! AHHHH! I think I read before that the 2nd gen hookers are a good match. Saftey... yes ALWAYS! Id rather spend tons on that before I get something to "just get by".

just to go down a quick list of things i think you will need:

transmission shield
driveshaft loop
arp wheels studs
6 (or 8) point roll bar AT MINIMUM (dont know specs on motor, so I dont know if you are going lower than 10.0)

awsome build....and have you looked into an EFI system for the 427 not cheap but would be much more tunable.

Yes I was hoping he went efi as well, but I have a feeling a carb is going to end up on it.
