I'm new to the area and was wondering if there is a Camaro club out here of any sort? I'm coming all the way from New Bern, NC and was in a club there called Jacksonville, NC CamaroSouth.

Welcome from the So-Cal Camaro 5 Family, look under San Diego Meet & Greet thread every once in a while we go on outing or car shows. I have done three in the last two months.

Welcome to the SoCal family!

In case you're ever looking for a car event on the weekend, there is a weekly gathering in Irvine (about 40 minutes north on the 5 freeway) called Cars and Coffee. You'll find every kind of car there, from hot rods to supercars. Every Saturday from 5-8 AM they meet in the parking lot between the Taco Bell and Mazda HQ buildings (on Gateway, off Alton). You'll typically see a couple Camaros and some people flying the SoCal Camaro 5 Family colors.

I'm in Escondido, about 15 minutes from Oceanside at the 78/15 Junction. I moved here a little over a year ago from Vegas. You want some info on the area or to hang out, drop me a line. I recommend you check out Escondido's "Cruisin' the Grand on fridays and Temecula too. They're a pretty good time. And FYI, Vegas is about a 4 1/2 hour drive from here. I've, also, found a few fun/twisty day drives out here.

Thank you Mindz and MikeSVX sounds like u have the best deal for a club since you are a lot closer than anyone else so far. Thank you all for the welcome. I have seen a badass cyber gray metallic Camaro on base with nice exhaust and havoc rear diffuser. I wonder whose that is?

What base you work at, Pendleton? I'm in the Coast Guard but work down at the 32nd street Navy base.

My wife works at the hospital on CP. There are 3-4 Camaros in the parking lot everyday. Between San Diego, Temecula and the OC group, you should have plenty of groups to meet up with.

I am also just east of you in Escondido. You have at your disposal probably one of the best Pacific Hwy drives if you just head south on Pacific Coast Hwy all the way down to Ocean Beach. As for Clubs, try the Camaro Club of San Diego... http://www.camaroclubofsandiego.org/ I've notice they have regular meetings that are not to far from you in Carmel Mountain Road.

I'm in Oceanside as well. Near N. Sante Fe and Melrose. I'm in the middle of putting in a sound system and hit a few snags, so I haven't been driving it as much lately.

If you see the two vehicles in my sig below, you'll probably see me wave as you go by.

If you do cruise to something, I might likely be interested in going as well.
