So I've seen lots and lots of posts where people bitch about HUD not being included. My question is, was it ever actually going to be included? I've looked and have seen no promises in the past or no pre-pro car that had HUD. Where did this come from? Did someone from GM ever say it was going to be included? This isn't like the ambient lighting or even the stripes issue where there's been clear pictures and documented places listing it as a feature (and as far as we know, ambient lighting is still there). So other than the GMPP catalog (probably just a screwup), has HUD ever been documented as being available in the car? Links to original sources would be greatly appreciated if possible. It seems to me that it has always been wishful thinking that people distorted into being reality so they can bitch about it.

There was a pre-production picture of the interior which had a HUD system. The "Ignition" video had a HUD system.

Haven't seen that pic but that video was made by someone outside of GM so it doesn't count.

+ a million There have to be a trillion threads about this subject, Yes we have pictures showcasing the fact that we will be getting the hud in the the camaro. Please don't make me sift through the threads to find it.

AMB ambient light... is the Head Light of the car that have unique style.. The Round Shape and weird cool lightning right ?

and HUD ? you mean in the ignition movie the red thing that light along the interior ?

ambient lighting is what the red lights is supposed to be but it won't look quite like that. Pretty sure it's less like a solid light bar and more of a glow. And the color is blue (orange if you get the inferno orange interior upgrade).

Hud is the projection of the speedo, etc on the lower part of the windshield above the gauges. It's what's seen towards the end of that video and is green in color.

No problem nasser, The headlights on the front of the car with that unique style are what we are calling Halo's. Which is the red lights on the front of this camaro. (warning, the camaro you purchase, these lights will NOT be red and they will be your usual white. I just used this as an example because it points them out pretty good.

The HUD is the Heads up Display which shows vehicle information up on your windshield while driving.

Found one of our pics showing the hud unit.

WOW HUD looks awesome.. if it will be included it gonna be another special thing added to the Camaro.. but even if they didn't put it .. we will all still love Our Camaro ^^

Speaking of HUD. Does anyone know about how much the HUD option is on other cars that have HUD?

It's part of the 3LT package on the Vette, but back in 1999 when it was a stand alone option on the C5 it was $350. That was the best $350 option ever. Of course it displays much more then displayed, stuff like audio channel, tach, oil, water temps and the vette has a lateral G meter and when equipped with the Nav it displays navigation data..

It's one of those things they took off for some dumb reason after bragging about it being there (like Ambient Lighting).

Am I the only one who doesn't like the HUD? I think it looks like it belongs on a spaceship and I'd rather just check my gauges.
