Just starting out?

Go with the Porter Cable XP7434, can't go wrong!
Get the machine, with the entire kit from Adam's

Another great option from Adam's is his 15mm Long Throw Swirl Killer. It can be purchased as a complete kit.

Here's a good starter kit for $153 shipped free. The Griots Garage 6" R/O has a lifetime warranty. Lake Country Pads are on sale @ 25% off as well.

One truth you should also know if your detailing for others, is these basic R/O polishers will get the job done, but slower.

A long throw machine, like the Rupes 21, or the forced rotation Flex 3401 will correct paint much faster, thus making you more profit.

This is the same kit I got and it's great to start out with. Make sure you get a couple more of each pads so you'll have enough to do a full car in one go

Thanks guys for the recommendation of our Swirl Killer 15MM LT polisher.
A few things that I like about the polisher is first off I love the 25' cord, no more need for an extension cord.
Low vibration for less fatigue, comfortable design.
Smooth and safe start up, not to mention how well it corrects and performs.
Stay tuned for a new Sale soon.

Before I get accused of being an Adams basher, I bought my Rupes 21 Mark I polisher from Adams on 8/2015. $360. Best price at the time that I found for this machine. It was one of the best investments in detailing I ever made. Time per vehicle was significantly reduced from the GG 6" R/O I was using. It was further improved by the simple addition of the "Kevin Brown Washer Mod". This machine has virtually no vibration, significantly reducing fatigue from use.

This post is only an option that I'm mentioning for the sole purpose of helping someone save money if interested in a 15mm long throw polisher.

I personally like the cyclo. I find it much more comfortable than normal style polishers like the porter cable.
