Paddle shifter assistance
Looking for ideas. I replaced the stock nubs with the paddle shifters. Left side came off fairly easy and installed ok, but right side was a bear. Needless to say I warped the little hole on the bottom. It works ok if I only pull the center, but wants to come off if I use the top or bottom of the paddle. Any suggestions on how to repair the small opening?
Thanks in advance! |

You can just get a pair of pliers and slightly stretch out the part of the paddles that pops into the steering wheel hole. By stretching them out it makes it so the paddles can stay in place better. I had the same problem and that's what Vitesse said to do

This happened to me also when I installed my paddle shifters. Once that small tab is broken on the button even stretching out the shifter housing will not help as it will keep popping off or be really hard to depress. I fixed mine by replacing the paddle button, and making sure I did not break the tab when putting on the paddle shifters. On a side note, now that the paddle shifters are on they are awesome. Good luck.

I've been driving around with one paddle for the past 6 months because one side kept falling out. Hopefully there's a fix.

Anyone aware of a filler I could use, sand, and re-drill the hole?

Ahmed provided a fix. Take two pliers and ever so gingerly widen the two sides of the paddle by the pins. Be careful to only widen slightly. Hope this helps someone else.

Silly me, I just realized that this is what they were trying to say in previous post. What threw me was "stretch out". I thought they were saying stretch out the little pins by squeezing with the pliers, but they were really saying widen the two side walls. Anyway they are fixed!
