Well, maybe that explains it!

Maybe try one of the wires mentioned?

Gave it another go, and it works!
One problem though...the purple wire is
Positional. It won't stay on and I have to move
The Ttap to get the lights
To come on. Did anybody have this issue??
I don't know if it's the Ttap, or what.
HELP!
I want to finish this!!!

Should I just expose the wire so there's a better
Connection with the Ttap, then I could just
Stabilize the Ttap so it won't move around??
Urgh!

That means that you don't have a good connection. Maybe your t-tap is too big?

alright so i just tried to do this..have a few questions.

i t-taped into the purple wire in the passenger side footwell area and t-taped into a black wire from the same harness. not sure how most of you did this, but wow - pretty difficult to manueauver down there. after some time, i did get it "taped" - and for some reason, the AAC light is always on????

no matter if the ABL is on/off, dome light is on/off, or even if the car is on/off.

when i was tapping into the purple wire, i did notice there is another purple wire in that harness (same size) that's purple with a white line on it, is that the correct "purple wire"??

not sure... helpppp. i attached some pics.

also - this is all for one of the two AAC pieces. once i square away the t-taps and the correct connections - whats the easiest way to wire the 2nd AAC piece accordingly. i'd imagine somewhere thru the center console - but i'm talking more about the wiring.

thanks anyone who is awesome enough to respond!

First of I would like to say that I FINALLY GOT MINE DONE!!!
no pics because it looks like everyone else's....awesome! :-)
Putput113, yes it is difficult to maneuver down there!
I do think you have the correct wire.
Mine only come on When the ABLs are on, and when I actually switch
Them on.
I ran the red wire, from the lights, from the passenger side
Over to the driver side and joined both
Red wires together and connected them to the switch.
I ran the black wire , driver side light), from driver side to pass side, joined them
And connected to sidewall black wire via T-tap ( like you did).
I also ran the power source wire (purple wire T-tap) from pass side
To driver side and connected to the switch.
I ran the wires under the dash, through center console, taped them
together and then taped
Them to existing wrapped wires, just so they didn't hang down.
That was pretty much it. Seems pretty easy, but I ran into some snags
And it took me longer than it should have. But they're awesome and I'm glad
I did it!
Anymore questions, let us know.

wlvrine, definitely agree-took much long than it should have. pain in the ass to manuever down in there and use both hands....but somehow, its all done. works great with the ABL.
