Huh?

He said no money down... Now I am no math wizard but that's about right as far as I can tell...

Man some people on this site are rude, arrogant, and stuck on themselves...

To the OP.... The LS is a sweet car and it's nothing to sneeze at...

if the only vehicle you normally drive is a ford focus then get the LS model Camaro. this way u have a low car payment and a very cool vehicle which you can upgrade later.

The RS package is available on the 1lt. Since that 1lt does not have it, it's a not brainer. Get the LS and save some cash.

BigTed83,

It comes down to what you can afford as many others have said. With that in mind you have to determine how much are you going to be putting down, the more money the better, what will your interest rate be, how long do you want to finance it, and finally ask your insurance company how much the insurance will be for someone your age on the type of car you want.

This will give you a good idea what the total cost of ownership will be, and help you determine if you have any money left over for rent, food, fun, girlfriend, etc.

I have seen many young people, under 25 here in AZ, get a Mustang GT fully loaded for around $600 per month only to find out their insurance will cost an additional $300 or more per month because of their age, bad credit score and where they live. Factor in gas and you can be looking at $1,000 per month or more. A big down payment shows the bank you are serious about not defaulting on the loan and hopefully get you a lower loan rate.

Just a few things to think about, but what ever you decide the Camaro is a hell of a lot of fun to drive, but just don't go broke doing it IMHO.

But I also have the option for getting a 2011 camaro ls with the payments in the high 300's and the lt why payments would be about 480 a month. Idk what to do

Have you test driven the Camaro yet? I would test drive both the 1lt and the ls and compare the leather seats with the cloth. I sat in both and liked the cloth better for Miami heat weather.. I would honestly get the LS and save your money That would be my choice..

You are comparing apples or oranges...

Far to many things factor into car payments with the 3 major ones being length of loan, the amount put down, and the APR...

With no money down on an LS (estimated $24,000) financed:

-- Finance for 60 months with an APR of 4% = $452 a month....
-- Finance for 72 months with an APR of 4% = $384 a month....

The OP payments with NO MONEY DOWN sounds about right to me...
