Annoying Rear View Mirror Rattle After Subwoofers installed

OK first let me start off by saying I know there is already a thread for this issueS but it didn't seem to have many answers. I also understand that when you install sub(s) there will ALWAYS be rattles. However, I have a very annoying rattle in the rear view mirror on my 1LT. I found out the the rattle is coming from the plastic tab that lets you dim the mirror. I tried placing self adhesive felt paper on in but it didn't help.

So does anyone know how to stop this rattle? It is driving me crazy. Should I just buy an auto dimming mirror or can I save some $$$ and fix this problem?

My rearview mirror came loose on me and I don't even have a subwoofer.
Should still be under warranty, take it in where you bought it.

I highly doubt it will be covered by the warranty becuase the mirror was fine before the subs were installed. And it's a used 2010 Camaro so I have a very limited Warranty.

I don't have the rattle, but it does vibrate like hell, and I can't see anything clearly at all in my rear view mirror when the sub is booming. I'm hoping a rattle doesn't develop.

I have the rattle. I'm going to do some investigating tomorrow and see what I can find. I know this thread is old, but maybe someone still needs answers and solutions.

Tighten up the set screw on the bottom side of the mirror. Worked for me.

That's kind of what I was thinking also. I figured it had just rattled loose.

Exactly what the problem was. Takes a torx T20 to tighten.

Mine doesn't rattle, but instead the vibrations from the bass make the mirror re-position to a lower angle. Have you guys had this issue as well?

Position the mirror to where you want it. Make sure it is where you want it. Check it one last time. One drop of super glue on the pivot point of the mirror.
