Sorry, another Trans / Diff question.

When i build a Camaro on the Chevy web site and plug in Auto Trans it states i must omit Limited Slip Diff.

Is this true? Why can't i get Auto & LSD?

You can - with a V8! No LSD with auto applies to the V6 only, I believe. All SS cars (manual & auto) are equipped with LSD.

Yep, V8 auto has it. V6 auto omit.

I don't understand why you can't have LS Diff with a V6 Auto - but you can with the V8 Auto???

Guess i'll be getting a Stick.

Unless Chevy changes it for the '11 Model?

The assumption is that Chevy thinks that relatively few V6 automatic buyers are interested in performance, some yes, but a significantly smaller percentage than V6 manual. In addition to an LSD, the V6 manual cars also have more agressive gearing, the most aggressive of all the transmissions offered. As for the SS, why wouldn't a Super Sport get a limited slip differential?
