I love when old threads pop up that I had no clue ever existed. I'll be trying this out when it gets a little bit warmer!!

I did this mod last night, it took me several hours. It really changes the look of the entire interior. I used something that I though worked rally well. I had a stripe applicator and some guitar picks. I would wedge the stripe applicator between panels, and i would slide the guitar picks underneath the panel to get the desired height to tuck the piping in. I used just some cheap fender medium-heavy picks, they did not break or warp. I used a slimmer medium pick for just the right amount of spacing, it however was warped by the time I got done. But the picks didn't get chewed up, excessively warped or flex, and I didn't have to cut up any credit cards.

Years later (and after trading the '10 in) I find these. Should hold up a lot better than the cloth piping.

So I found this on Amazon and gave it a go.

I bought two for just in case and I'm glad I did. You can get by with one but two just in case. The only issue is there were no instructions with it but it's simple to figure out. Around the controls on the door is a good gap and it's not snug in there unless you push it in a bit more. I may try to find glue to use.
