I ordered som EL wire in Orange. Gonna try it out when it gets here. Should be easy enough to tap right into my rocker panel.

My thought was, "blue by day, blue by night". I was going to grab some of that tail wire, but I think it would be grey/white during the day. The fabric cuts a lot of the light, as you can see, but, it does light up. The trick here will be managing the ends with the power connection.

At the end of your piping (before you fold and glue) make a "triangle" cut (<) in the fabric. When you snake the EL wire through the piping frame, snake the power wire through your triangle cut. Fold the fabric to align as straight as you can and glue flat. Cut off any excess. This might work for a clean edge and wire acess.

I need to get an inverter for my EL wire, and try and figure out how and where to hide the wires. The EL add on is going to be abit if work. Panels may have to start coming off.

See every one is having trouble finding color of piping they want. Try going to a local upholstery shop. Thats what I did and thet made it up for me. The guy liked the idea so much he didn't even charge me for it. Just wanted to see it when it was done.
