Damn blacky! That looks AWESOME! Where did you end up getting your wire and inverter!? And where did you hook up for your 12V power!? And where the heck did you hide the wires!? Oh PLEASE do a write up on this! I'm still having a hard time figuring out what components I need to get a clean look..I.e, inverter, splitters, and wire set up.

You did an AWESOME job! Right on!!

Blacky, can you post some pics of your panels and dash during the day? I'm curious to see what the wire looks like when the light is off during the daytime.

Doesn't it just figure...they don't have that EL wire style in Orange! Ugghh. Would have made install so much easier!

But Black, since you tapped power from the Window wires and the inverter
Is inside the door panel, how do you turn the EL wire on and off?

Very nice blacky!

How did you handle getting the power wires to the EL wire? Holes drilled?

Can anyone tell me how many feet of EL wire that we need for this, which inverters that we would need from this site, and anything else that would be needed to do this? I really want to do this but have no experience with something like this. I had bought the fabric piping but have never got around to installing it. Now the EL wire has totally changed my mind.

Hi
at first thanks for all you nice coments

to the questions, i have conekt the inverters direkt on the window switch (inide the Door) so the light goas on if the light in the car is on and all the Switches and the Tach is illuminated, i cant switch it off.
Only on the Dash i have an little switch because by night drives the Dashlight is to bright.

i must not drilling anny holes all ican rebuild to original without any visitabele problems. the wire for the Dash i have put in the oem holes behind the Dash trim kit and the wire goes to the button for the light .

hope all this will help, other pics i can send only after the next weekend
If you have again any question feel free to ask my

So where did you run the wires into the doors?

I think earlier black had said that he two separate inverters for each of the doors which he put inside the doors under the panel, and connected to the yellow wire which controls the window button. (I'm not sure if I want the power control here. I would like an independent rocker panel to control the lights.) Am I right black? Therefor no wires are evident in the door panel, they are all under it.

He is using three inverters, one each for door panels and one for the dash. All are tucked under each of the panels. So at the least, panels will have to be removed for this install. I got the "gist" of what he has done, just not the pieces I need to achieve the same look. That is where I need te help. I want a set up where I don't have to worry with soldering.
