From GM:

Effective with production beginning Wednesday, August 19, 2009, the GM Mark of Excellence badge has been removed from both front doors of the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox.

Wonder if this around the corner for the Camaro too?

I knew about this last week.

GM Removing "Mark of Excellence" Badge From Products

Why? Focus on the brands now, not the company as a whole.

And as far as I know, the Mark of Excellence is gone from all future GM products.

Meh -- maybe I'm weird, but I like that little badge. Proud to "wear it", almost. It's sorta like a cute dimple to me.

But -- cars do look cleaner without them.

Just saw the 2010 Equinox featured on a TV ad. Overall the reviews have been very good. GM is on the right track...Chevy Equinox, Buick Lacrosse, Cadillac SRX, Camaro, Chevy Cruze...all getting favorable reviews (in most cases, very favorable). Glad to see it.

I'm with you on liking the badges, but so many people here don't, and it isn't really a big deal to me. Good move GM. No one else uses a corporate badge in addition to brand badging, so this makes a lot of sense.
