Electronic Throttle Control...What I don't like.

Anyone else notice that on the V6s when you push down on the accelerator the first 1/16th of an inch or so there is little or no response? That would not happen with a cable control. Personally I find it annoying especially in driving a manual. I have drive the ss at the dealer and cant remember if its similar on the v8.

Don't share that opinion, sorry.

1/16th of an inch? That's too picky.

But I must say that no, not a problem for me.

Not an issue here. There has to be a little slack. Mine responds rather quick.

I've noticed this too, and yes, it's irritating (I have the LS3 engine). It's more than 1/16th of an inch though.

You can definitely push the pedal down a relatively large amount before there is any change in throttle.

mine has no slack at all, perhaps there's some type of calibration/adjustment needed.

+1. The older drive by wire sucked. They where horrible. My 04 ram with a hemi has a hardcore delay. But I have ZERO play in my throttle. If I push it it revs.

Cable does not delay like this. My SS has lag sometimes I can put it to the floor and it takes it a while to decide what to do and other times it just will put you in the seat. A friends vette does the same its kinda annoying.

You can fix this problem by going and get your car professionally tuned. A can tune will not fix this entirely but someone that tunes cars can take this right out.

All automatic cars have some throttle lag, if you wanted to have more instant throttle response you should have gotten a manual.

My SS Automatic had the same problem, but a VMAX throttle body from Jannety Racing took that away. Throttle response is instant now. I heard they are working on one for the 6 cylinder. That should solve you problem.
