I talked to them today and they said they would be responding to your messages. Little did I know they have already posted on here and their screen name is Scott P if you want to look up the posts.

Hey ya'll, I am the manager of American Radio, and one of the installers that helped to to build the first Ipad C5 camaro. I did the vast majority of the work on the Ipad/Radio/Wifi/ipod/hvac controls. If you have any questions feel free to ask them and I'll answer as quick as I can. Here is the link to the original build thread from a year or so ago:

I have a question. How much would this run to have done? As far as the iPad install goes? Any pics of the radio/HVAC controls? Looked thru the thread linked but didnt see any photos of the HVAC controls you put in.

Only draw back I see that technology gets better every year. So this will be out dated in no time. But a great install no doubt!

Nevermind about that pic, it was right in front of me. I am interested on the price though for the iPad install. Not looking to go crazy as far as speakers etc like this guy did.

they are on pg 3. and as far as costs, there are alot of variables that go into it so it's not real easy to just spit out a number. I will say this. The number quoted in here wouldn't be remotely enough for me to consider taking the job in given the amount of time the job actually takes to be done correctly.

Only thing I dont like about the install is the fact you have to take the iPad out everytime you want to change the HVAC controls etc. Ive been dying to get my iPad into my car somehow. Guess Ill have to settle for ProClips for now.

i don't know about up there, but here I have to adjust my hvac maybe once every 3-4 weeks if that. So to me, and in this case to the owner of the C5, it wasn't a big deal since he rarely messed with the AC or heat

Amazing work Scott, I'm looking to do something like this myself but I'm trying to avoid the iPad route due to their lack of practicality. What are your thoughts on instead of adding an i pad, adding a pc that could possibly control hvacs. I don't want to take away from the op, so if you want . We can discuss it in my thread I made the other day about this topic.
