Just curious as to why you didn't wrap the whole badge.

Because most just want the gold portion covered.

Did mine just like this. I used a hair dryer for heating. I also did this while the bowties were on the car. Very easy. Just make sure the CF is aligned properly so the lines within are at correct angles.

Does this wrap come off clean if I mess up or don't want it anymore?

Yes it is fully reversible. The material was designed for full vehicle wraps.

I did my rear bowtie today. It came out great. I don't have a front bowtie so I had a little extra. I attempted my RS logo on the trunk and it didn't go so well. It was hard to get it down in the grooves, so now it's just red :upset:. I also decided to get rid of the gold steering wheel bowtie.

Helpful hint for all the DIY-ers out there. Have a VERY SHARP razor. Half way through my installation I didn't catch this early enough but the tip of my new razor blade broke. As I kept "cutting" the vinyl caught and bunched. Learn from my mistake and check your razor.

^ +1. We have a very sharp (the sharpest we have found) knife on the site. It is the same one used in the tutorials. Sharp knives are a must for a tight clean cut.

I will definitely refer to this when I do mine. I ordered the free sample first, will that work on the rear bow tie? Also, I suggest unmounting the emblems for us FL people, that first part of get it up to 80-90 deg made me laugh. If I did it outside, I'd have to ice it down! lol
