obx headers
hi compression....looks nice. I just installed ARH on mine. I noticed the welding beads on the outer tubes of your pipes were complete. Mine were not but the inner part was pretty solid. Not sure if thats quality workmanship or not. anyway, after 3 days, I got the "engine warning light" on. Im told I need a tune to get rid of that code/light. what do you think?

That price for the OBX headers is pretty good, but again it's pretty obvious that they copied someone's else's work. Add in the fact that the average Chinese person makes $6,000 a year and can't afford to buy a condo over there (Youtube and look for Chinese ghost cities), and look at the conditions they live in. I think buying the OBX stuff is wrong on a few levels.

Header looks nice, but I still don't trust ebay parts. Not diggin all the extra welds in them too.

Ok guys.
Here to do my job again... Everyone has had their say and if we don't put an end to this, it's going to continue on until the end of time....or until copyright, patent pending, trademark, whatever you care to call it "laws" come into play and the "knock offs" are pulled from shelves and are banned for good (as plenty of other parts have been). All we are doing is rehashing old posts and it's not going to stop...it really is like watching reruns...been there, done that... I've read the posts back and forth. The simple fact is, I understand both points of view. But, that's not what counts. What counts is this... There are two types of headers. You have your choice of which to buy. You can buy the "knock offs" taking your chances while understanding the old adage, "buyer beware" and save a few bucks while not getting the power gains and knowing the potential for future problems.... Or, you can buy genuine parts knowing full well that those parts are made properly, won't fall apart, put out more power (which I understand has been proven), have a full guarantee behind them, and who's sales contribute back to the economy which we are trying to help flourish. It's the buyers call. I understand the point that you can buy what you want. I also understand our sponsors desire to keep discussion of what he believes to be counterfeit knock offs. Until they are banned, people have a choice. I think it's pretty clear which ones are the better header to buy and I think proof to back that up has been made readily available to assist the buyer in their decision. But, it's the buyers choice. With that... If a lawsuit is ever filed, then all discussion of the OBX headers will be pulled...every mention of it. You can count on it. We won't advertise or hold discussion about something which is a proven knock off. We have pulled many discussions on boot leg stuff on here before as well. Laws....that's how it goes. We won't be responsible. So, with that said, everyone has had their say. The reviews of the OBX have been stated and the thread isn't going anywhere. Nope...not going to delete it. But, the bickering .....discussion.... however you wish to see it, probably isn't going to stop. So, we'll go ahead and put this to rest. Points from both sides have been made. |
