Long Tube Headers

Has anyone done long tube headers, with high flow cats yet on the V8?

I'm looking at Borla, ARH, as a selling factor I want stainless steel. Any shops running any deals.

Is there enough ground to header clearence when you put on long tubes?

Texas Speed & Performance

Best deal I've seen yet.....
http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp...=1083&catid=20

Their stuff is usually not too bad. They also sell coated Pacesetters alone for $599.

This is the setup I'm going with.

Good luck,
Ivan

I have AR Long Tubes with Flow thru cats. Hasn't effect ground clearance at all....I didn't measure but I have 3500 miles on mine and haven't scraped yet and I have a lower level parking garage that some of my other cars scrape on.

I will tell you....Before I put the blower on ( I had to wait for chrome blower to be released) I had the dealer install AR Long Tubes with Flow thru Cats and Corsa exhaust and My personal opinion is it is the nastiest sounding exhaust I have heard in my 30 years of Hot Rodding.

Not only That it wakes that LS3 Right up. Huge diference in throttle response and all out performance.

As far as price goes I am sure I got stung because I had an early build Camaro and jumped on ship when availability was low.

Only took 4 hours to install complete exhaust including headers and cats.

I absolutely love the sound. But be warned....In a small town, Its hard to not let everbody for miles know when you jump on it.

My dealer is 40 miles from my house and I didn't make it all the way home before getting pulled over.

I got off....It was my bad, I got on it just outside of another really small town.

Just My opinion But I think It's the best mod for the buck when it comes to performance and Coooolability.

Again ...just my opinion

I have another 2010 with just cat back Corsa and I think that is a waste of money. Can't even hardly tell the difference between stock.

Definately Long Tubes and Flow thu's but as far as the Borla VS Corsa etc.

To each his own. I think it comes down to personal preference. It is just what trips your trigger as far as sound goes. But LT's and Cats....

You're right on... My Corsa catback is very quiet... can't wait to get the LT on. LT are best bang for the buck...

But it was loud enough at WOT that the VERY FIRST time I romped on it I got pulled over... my bad too...

Escort has helped out greatly...

I have the ARH with high flow cats and 3" x-pipe. IMO and others, they are the best out there! I have mine coupled with the s-type Borla exhaust! Everything is stainless and no ground clearance issues what so ever.

Zeuss, Thanks for the video man, I have the same Borla S type. I'm assuming no problems hooking up 2.5 pipes to the headers? Thanks

I just installed a set of longtube Dynatech Supermaxx with catted midpipe and MBRP exhaust and the sound is glorious. Just get a big roll of dynamat for the boot as it's so much louder and a bit more vibration than stock. I've been thinking about taking off all the stock heat shield junk that rattles on the tub and replacing with thermotec heat shield. My tag even rattles from 1200-1600 rpms in first-second gear. :-D

Vid will be up on wednesday when I get her tuned

There is only a small section of the stock piping that you need to re-use between the x-pipe and the borla.

Mine is the LS3 so I didn't have to tune out the AFM.

Our system is completely finished now, and I am just waiting on final production to arrive.

As you have probably already seen from OrangeChevyII on the board, they have proven themselves already at the track. Soon they will be in your hands!

Built just like our Corvette headers they are going to be a full stainless system front to rear. We are going to include everything from the engine to the mufflers, as well as a muffler option! Complete merge collectors and 3" mid section, will give you a true dual 3" exhaust (when using LG Mufflers).

Check out video's below
2010 Camaro on the dyno with LG 1 7/8 Long Tube system

On the Dyno and at the Strip

I will have a full release as well as pictures and intro pricing as soon as they are ready to ship to you!

i am interested in long tube headers as long as i can run cats, not throw any codes, and pass ohio echeck when the time comes.
