Haha those kind of moments make me grin ear to ear. My TA is the same way, romped on it in a tunnel and it surprised me how loud it was.

Ringing will go away in due time. There won't be any perm damage. I've been through louder noises on deployment between being blown up and shooting my .50 cal without ear plugs and my hearing is still the same.

i have the tinnitus you are talking about but you usually dont have it in one ear .....you have probably got a wax build up in that ear, go get it cleaned out by your doctor dont try it yourself and you will be fine........your exhaust would not cause this......

I drive with an open cutout - if you think your exhaust is loud, try driving on the freeway at around 2500 RPMs with an open cutout. My wife and I will comment when we get to our destination that our ears are ringing for hours, but it goes away.

I am getting new exhaust soon and have been looking at the Borla S series. Seeing that it rings ears under an overpass...... *hitting the order NOW button*.....

I would not discount the ear problems. I had the unfortunate issue of a gun shot near my head and heard ringing for weeks. Any loud noise can cause hearing damage.

However, I don't think your exhaust will cause problems unless the right circumstance happens to magnify the sound at your ears. Lesson learned, don't run the RPM's up in a tunnel with your windows open.

I think I've read that some sounds are loud enough to cause instant damage, I doubt your SS was that loud. If it doesn't go away, I'd get it checked, but probably not a big deal. Now if you parked under an overpass, and revved it for a long time with your head right by the pipes, you might have some trouble
