Question about some hidden features
So I am on a camaro FB page and some one said that if you use your key fob to unlock your doors that if you hold it down again for a few seconds it will roll the windos down. Is this true? I just recently got my 2016 SS and still learning all the things this car can do. I want to call BS on this but wasn't sure.

It's an option on in the radio hmi settings. you can turn the feature on or off.
I turned it on when I found out about it, tried it, and haven't used it since. |

You can only roll them down, not put them up which is a bit silly but it is a good feature nonetheless.

Yeah, something about NA regulations if memory serves me right. Had to have it programmed on my M3. Glad to hear the auto-down function is standard on the Camaro. I like to roll the windows down on hot days before I leave from work.

You can just hold down and it will unlock and roll the windows down. No need to release and re-press after unlocking.

I had it in a few Nissans, and when you're approaching your car in the hot summer months just that 2-3 seconds of the heat escaping the cabin is more useful than turning on the car remotely and letting the A/C try to cool the hot air that's stuck in the cabin. Too bad they can't create a sequence that rolls the window down then up after a few seconds, and then cranks the engine with the A/C blasting. |
