This past weekend there I was on a beautiful day minding my business in my Maro which was bumpin and whin'n at a red light when this pretty 2011/12 5.0 with a nice rumble pulls up along my passenger side. The Stangs driver's windows were down and he couldn't take his eyes off of her beautiful SIM skin and seemed mesmerized by the exhaust notes of the symphony of power which was conducted by the all mighty LS3.
When the light turned green I fully expected the Stang to shoot out in a full race because he was powered by the 5.0 beast. In stead he slowly pulled off into the intersection and up to the normal speed limit. I lagged slightly behind and there it was!! A personalized license plate that read "LOL SS". I should've made him eat those words but I didn't, he knew who the real BOSS was that day.

hahah great story. that mustang driver probably never thought he would come across a camaro like yours.

Calling the Camaro a "Maro" is really dumb and makes me cringe every time I read it. I can't be the only person who feels this way.

Now back to the OP..good story, im surprised he didnt try and take off on you with that license plate..either way..you could have taken em

You're not the only person who feels this way. "Maro" just doesn't cut it. With a Corvette you can say "Vette"...that's different, even "Stang" doesn't bother me too much for Mustangs. Can you call a Challenger a "Lenger" though...No...you can't!

I agree with you, it's not a "Maro" it's a Camaro and it doesn't sound right any other way.

You've got to admit having a plate like that takes guts. Back in the day... mid 90's, my buddy had a 5.0 Mustang with the plate "YOU LOSE". He looked basically stock; however, under the hood he had a full built motor, Paxton blower and 100 shot of NOS. Needless to say he was blowing head gaskets constantly, but when it was running good he could back up what was on his license plate. Back then there were not too many 11 second street legal cars floating around like today.
