Go to the boltons/camaro vs/racing/brake/chassis/suspension/wheels and other sections and youll find plenty of guys modding and racing their Camaro. 1LE package is a track package, I guess most owners will at least race the car one time on a local track for fun. Sorry but most forum members have at least an exhaust or a CAI.

I just read this entire thread, and I think I have a brain tumor.
That being said, I'll tell a quick story. Back in '02 I bought a Sentra SE-R SPEC-V. Nice little car, and pretty quick. They used a very weak tranny the first year. (This is why you never buy the first year of a new model). The problem was the main bearing was too small to handle the torque. The motor put out 175/180. It also had a weak 1st gear lock out, and a sloppy shifter. My car was bone stock. Long story short, when racing, it was easy to miss third and go back into 1st. This would instantly destroy the main bearing. I did this at 3k, and the dealer replaced the tranny no questions asked. It happened again at 6k, and the dealer told me, "We're not going to keep putting trannys in this car." I told him he would as long as the warrenty was good. He asked if I was racing the car, and I said 'Yes". He said, "Well there you go. you voided the warrenty." I told him to turn around and look at the poster behind him. It depicted an SE-R SPEC-V hitting an apex on the track. Under the picture it said, "Race on SUnday...drive to work on Monday." Kind of like the 60's muscle cars. At this point the Asst. Service manager was in corner laughing. The Manager still refused to fixed it. I went home, called Nissan North America, and opened a claim. I recieved a call from the Service manager within 45 minutes apologizing and trying to back peddle from his comments. They ended up putting in an '03 tranny which had larger main bearings and an improved lock out. TLDR: Don't post mod info on this site. The GM Reps on here are not always here to help YOU. You can race a car without voiding your warrenty, IF it was designed that way (1LE, ZL1, Z-28) The internet is forever. </rant>

That's a great story Kid, it reminds me of a 2011 Camaro SS that came into my dealership about two years ago for a vibration while driving any speed. Upon inspection we found the drive shaft was ready to fall out because the rear yoke was twisted and cracked. We checked for bulletins and found one for an updated yoke so without question we replaced the driveshaft and rear yoke. The service writer was asking why because it was not a defect, it was damaged due to excessive force and I said because it's an SS and they should have built it with parts that can take it!

Just for the record, he never said he was a paralegal, just said he wasn't the janitor. I don't know of ANY paralegals that write so poorly and are so ignorant of the basic concept of law.

Theres a lot more horror stories about nitrous because a lot more people can afford the nitrous kits compared to FI. Not because its worse.
