100,000 mile check-in
Well, 108,000 to be exact Still purring like a kitten! The most recent mods are a tune, 1LE-style wheels and the Hotchkis Track Pack, both of which have really helped on the road course-- I'm actually consistently averaging faster times than most of the 5th gen SS cars running the same course, which is pretty awesome (and before you question that, my car is modded-- still NA but basically full bolt-ons, suspension and tune-- and much lighter than theirs and I've been driving for 15 years and yes I have the numbers to prove it). Running consistent low-mid 14's at the drag strip which is no slouch, especially for a six! The only issues I've had have been a catalytic converter (replaced under warranty), a trunk latch that sometimes decides not to work, a new power steering line, and a couple of rear blinkers I've replaced. I still love the car just as much as I did the day I drove her off the lot brand new, and am looking forward to 108,000 more miles of smiles!

Did you get the wheels painted? I have been looking into those, but FR seems dead against making a silver or midnight silver colored whee.

Yeah, but the machined have too much of a shiny finish for my taste. I want painted, no reflective metal.

Great looking car. It just shows that if you take care of it, it will last a long time.
Love the color. Bill

Good job on keeping it going that far....if I still had my 2012 IBM and stayed doing what I was doing in Georgia I would have had 75k on her as well, however now that I live in Vegas and have a work truck, I barely drive my new vert as much as I did with Lil Blue, and now when I do drive it, it is purely for pleasure, this car is now just a toy for me....
