Position #9 Check Digit

Position #10 Model Year Code
"A" for 2010

Position #11 GM Plant Code
"9" for Oshawa #1

Positions #12 through #17 Plant Sequence Number. Position 12 is "1" for current production camaros.

Anybody know if the "RS Package" is coded in the VIN?

Nope, vin itself will not show if the car came with the RS package, the dealer however can look the car up by the vin I believe and tell you what it should have originally come with.
