Its hard to tell on the overlay, but how were the 1 7/8 down low vs the 1 3/4? The 1 7/8 seems to be the best option. Just surprised the 1 3/4 did as well as it did.

All Three Header sizes were neck and neck up to about 3000 or less

1 7/8 are the most common.

Ted.

I love my 1 7/8 kooks and JRE tune, pretty good all around. I'm never gonna put the kind of power down to warrant going with 2" headers.

This Car is 100% Stock other than the Headers installed for the Testing.

Stock Peak Numbers 373 RWHP 378 RWTQ
Stock Average Numbers I will post tomorow Forgot to print them.

1.75 long tube headers w high flow cats Peak 401.1 HP 403.8 TQ
1.75 long tube headers w high flow cats Average 281.2 HP 363.9 TQ

1.875 long tube headers w high flow cats Peak 406.8 HP 407.5 TQ
1.875 long tube headers w high flow cats Average 283.7 HP 366.6 TQ

2.0 long tube headers w high flow cats Peak 411.7 HP 408.9 TQ
2.0 long tube headers w high flow cats Average 288.1 HP 368.1 TQ

The 1 3/4 Headers did Surprisingly well.
The 1 7/8 Headers IMO are the best all around header.
The 2.0 Headers are neck and neck with the 1 7/8 but Slightly stronger from 5000 to 6300

In an all out racing application they would be worth the extra investment.

So Now it is up to you to choose what best fits your application.

Anybody want to buy some good used Headers

Some interesting tid bits of informations, the A/F ratios were unaffected by the headers or the header size changes, Ranged from 11.7 -12.3 through the pull, the fuel trims also remained constant from size to size.

We also Tested NO CATS and Guess What NO HP GAIN COULD BE MEASURED, ok I lied, 1 HP somwhere in the middle of the run, I think I farted near the air filter

All Kidding aside these cats flow like straight pipe.

And the Headers with High flow cats, Sound with the Factory Exhaust, Music to my Ears.

Here are the Graphs overlayed.

Thanks for the info, Ted.

So just to be sure, the 1 7/8 ARH LT headers and high flow cats are bolt on to existing factory exhaust, correct?

Been wanting to get some headers and these sound like a good setup. Do you guys send them out for ceramic coating or would I have to do this locally?

Thanks, again.

Ted, your graph overlay seems to have a discrepency, the stock torque curve never peaks at what you said it did.

On a side note, do I see torque management affecting the stock torque curve between 2k and 3k? If so, that looks to me like a fairly large dead spot that a tune takes care of.

Not sure what you mean and there was NO tuning done with this test.

I'm sorry, Torque is on the right side of the graph.

It's from 2500 to 3200 rpm the torque curve is a flat line with no gain in torque. I wasn't sure if that was torque management doing that, or if it was just the operators foot not being to the floor.

Red Lines are Torque and gains start at 1500 RPM, I am the Operator and my foot was to the floor.

Blue lines are Horsepower.
