Ambient lighting in ls/1lt/1ss?

I am getting a 1lt and the only thing I feel I am missing (getting leather later) is the ambient lighting... Has anyone done their own ambient lighting yet? I know its not essential to have but im really drooling over it. Also are the panels in the ls/1lt/1ss the same except not having the ambient lighting? Thanks, Connor

Panels aren't the same. Installing your own ambient lighting on the doors could prove to be difficult.

the panels in the above models are cloth but you can upgrade them later thought the gm accessories, and for Ambient lighting I believe you would be able to order it later

not as easy as that... in the manual it explains that adding any other type of electronic things inside the car will obviously already use the battery power the car has.... and could mess up already existing electronic stuff... which is basically everything.... so if you have it done, i woudld consult your dealer first and make sure its done correctly

Well you just need to tap a line. LED kits don't take much juice.

I have motorcycle pods in my vette with a wireless controller. Multi color.

It won't drain your battery down they use about as much as an alarm module.

I would agree to get a pro unless you know what your doing. But they just need a ground and pos with low amps. It's cake to get the power part done.

Placement is the hard part.
