Ark N-II + BBK LT Install Help

I just bought the ARK N-II system with BBK LT headers and VR intake. My question is about the install of the LT's, and N-II.

I like to think of myself has having good common sense, but me never trying to install such a system on a car before gives me pause. I asked a local shop for a quote and they said it would take them 5.5 hours and asked for $390 for the work. I have seen a good number of people here on the forums that have installed this setup or one just like it on there own. Would anyone have anything with photographs or videos in relation to the install or pairing of these two parts to better assist me? Or would it better to just give the 390 to have someone else do it. I have the tools so that is not a problem.

Anything at all, personal experience, professional install guides, whatever, would help a great deal. Thanks

Just go for it bro. That's how a lot of us have done it. It's really not difficult...just time consuming. If you've got the tools, then i assume you know how to use em. There isn't anything complicated about it other than the O2 sensor extensions since there is some trimming to make it connect properly.

Did you have any issues pairing the BBK with the N-II hopisok? And does the replacement gaskets require anything else to be applied? Like a sealant of some kind? Its the little stuff like that which I am trying to work out prior to going to work on the install; based on the information received about the ease of install with basic knowledge. About how long did it take to install?

With this information I will post pictorials about my installation process to help others.

Almost forgot, about the stock exhaust, does it come off with ease? Or will it require cutting? If yall remember anything about the small details or items needed, then please let me know. If I can, based on the information posted before morning, I will start the install Friday. Once again, thanks for your help in this matter.

I can't comment on the LTs but I had the N2 system installed on my car and although the stock system is technically bolted on behind the cats, there's not enough room to slide it back far enough to drop down in one piece. As a result, the muffler shop had to cut each pipe just a bit back towards the rear from the tunnel brace. The Ark stuff all just bolted up.

Oh yeah and +1 for Ark!

No worries bro...didn't need anything extra and everything bolted up nicely. I removed my stock exhaust in one piece. Use a floor jack or blocks of wood to hold the exhaust up while you remove the rubber hangars, this will allow it to drop down and slide forward. I changed mine out in my driveway on rhino ramps...no cutting required. It has been suggested to use lock-tite on the header bolts. The gaskets BBK sends are good. I suggest removing the heat shields around the headers and exhaust to prevent rattling too. Installing them both together is going to save you some time, but expect for it to take the majority of your day as the header bolts on the passenger side are a PITA. Good luck...by the way, it's gonna sound REALLY loud at first and mellow out as it breaks in. Your gonna love it.

Wow, you were not joking about those bolts. This set up is loud as hell, it actually surprised me from the cold start. Now all i got to do is to re-tighten all the bolts to make sure they are in good order and I will be good to go.

Is it normal to have some white smoke come out of the exhaust tips after installation? Thought it might be the heat burning what ever was left in the tube after the install, since it smells like something was burnt.

Have an odd window message popping up now though, saying that I need to open door and then raise and lower window, or something to that accord. Has this happened to you as well hapisok?

Smoke is normal after any exhaust install. It will go away. Don't use Lock Tite on the header bolts. It's anti seize you want to use.

Glad you like your exhaust. ARK definitely does it the right way.
