Glad to hear they are fixing it! Sucks that it happened, but at least they are fixing it! Keep us updated. I wish the best for you and your car. Did it have the trifecta tune loaded on it? If so, guess it is undetectable.

Thanks guys.....I have been pretty and antsy throughout the week. I have almost been to the point of depression without the car. I have never had this happen to me, so understanding the repair process was half the battle. Once it was explained to me a lot tension wore off, and almost all of it is gone as of this morning.

I forgot to mention two things....

1) I took the car in a week and half before because I smelled something burning. At the time the oil looked fine and they couldn't trace the smell.

2) The car broke down in NJ........she's up there :( While I am in Charlotte.

This is great news! Definitely keep us posted!

BTW... first time I met one of my little GM "birdies", the first thing he told me was to IGNORE the driver information center and CHANGE my oil every 3,000 miles!!

Went through the same thing man, hopefully yours doesnt take as long as mine did.

Seems like these engines burn oil if you beat on them. If you run it hard at all, on the strip or street, make sure you check your oil constantly.

do they have a guide on what the oil level should be on the dip stick. I seen it somewhere here before. but cant find it now .
