They make flexible exhaust. That is the key to making a solid mount tip work.

I just don't like the rear diffuser, I'm just gonna stay stock on that one.

However, I don't think that running an exhaust tip through a bezeled opening is the best idea anyways. Personally, I'd just leave it. If it's good enough for the LS460 and the IS-F, it's good enough for me. But I'd be swapping my rear diffuser for the stock piece anyways. I like round tips.

either way... the aftermarket will come out evetually with something to fix it up.... even if you can get a mesh "funnel" type exhaust exit that straps from the circular round pipe to the trapezoidal tips it would look good enough ... but im sure some thing will come out

I've seen flex-joints that would probably make the connection from the muffler to the tip. I'm sorry, but has it been confirmed there actually no connection from the muffler to the tip in the diffuser?...

Remember though, the heat. Bumpers are generally urethane. Directly connecting your hot exhaust to your plastic bumper............

According to the SEMA cars, yes.

Ah. I was confused. I thought he was just referring to the shape of the tips on the SLP catback.

but still that shape wouldnt fit with the stock holes/diffusers.... lol

if I get bored, I might fab up a set of sheet metal exhaust tips that would fit.

IMHO.
Totally agree with you! The Concept diffuser was a thing of beauty. Its even shaped kind of like the tail light: flat on top, rounded on the bottom. The rounded Concept diffuser goes MUCH better with the lines of the car than the trapezoid GM accessory garbage. Check out the compare:

Your dealer can order you a set. Or you can look in the member classifieds, there are always members selling theirs for cheap.
I got mine painted.

I am thinking of just blocking off the back of the diffuser and doing a muffler delete and some exhaust turndowns.
