Thanks for the DIY, i want to make some LEDs come on when I engage the E-brake, is it possible?

That might be possible. Just need to find the parking brake signal wire. Usually cars have them so you can hook up a navigation system.

Just did this today w/ the AAC CCFLs.

Super easy. The only recommendation I can make is don't choose a 98 degree day to do it.

its behind the panel on your drivers side i used this for my footwells

If I want my footwell lighting to only come on at night and dim with the lights what would I have to do?

To do both may be difficult. To come on at night you would need a daylight sensor. To dim with the dome light you would need to tap it into the dome light power.

Thanks for the write up, Once I found the wire to tap into it was easy to get it in.

Ah I bet you could. or at least to the relay that turns the headlights on at night. Something to that effect.

Ok well how about hooking up to ABL or the auxillary power?

That connector in the picture above (Post #175) IS the ABL connector! It's for the dash ABL GM never put in. It's what I have my driver's side ABL connected to. That will only go on when the lights are on and will dim with the interior lights. There's another ABL connector behind the speedo - at least in the 2SS...

Ok I have a 2SS but do I have to take off the dash panels to get to the connector?
