I can't wait to see what some people do to their Camaro's. Of course there will be some who'll install a sunroof and those that'll attempt to bring back the Landau style. Should be some interesting concepts...

Final word is: No T-Tops...
but that doesn't mean they couldn't engineer future models for t-tops |

I'm still holding out the hope for t-tops... So I'm not saying "No" just yet!!
Surely if enough people want it, they will give it to us!

I certainly hope/assume a sunroof would be a definite option. It's much too common and wanted not to. |

I don't know, the Mustang doesn't offer one, and a lot of coupes don't so I'm not holding my breath. I would really like it if they did offer one, and would definitely, definitely order it if they did.

That's ridiculous. You can buy almost any crappy car out there with a sunroof (points to his Aveo), but one of the most popular doesn't even offer it??? I certainly hope GM uses their head and offers it. I will most definitely have one added if it's not a factory option. So I hope the odd rooflines aren't part of the production version. I wasn't attached to them in the least anyway. |

I don't see how they could offer a sunroof with the roof line if they keep the reverse mohawk on the Camaro. T-tops could work, but I don't see either happening.

Man, I'm trying to think... I knew a guy that had a Berlinetta with a sunroof, but I'm not sure if he installed it or not- probably did. Overall, I believe GM only makes Camaro's & Firebirds with T-Tops or convertibles-- nothing with sunroofs. GM more than likely will not offer a sunroof in the new Camaro; even in the V6's. And if the groove in the roof stays you're def not going to see a sunroof.
As far as T-Tops are concerned, they just don't look right with this particular body design- imo. I think someone did a chop depicting what a Camaro with T-Tops might look like. This render didn't include the b-pillar which consequently affected the way it looked. Engineers would have to reinforce the b-pillars to compensate for the glass tops, causing the rear side windows to appear tiny and awkward looking. Just wouldn't flow... So I really believe that there will be no sunroofs or t-tops. |

Yes, Mustang has been offered with a sunroof AND T-tops... My parents had some of the 80's model Mustangs when I was little... I think they had a black 86 and a red 88... Anyway I know the red one had a sunroof and the black one had t-tops because mom told me the t-tops leaked and I needed to take care of mine. No troubles as of yet, they are awesome!

Yeah I agree that if the roof is kept as is, even installing a sunroof would be difficult, if not impossible. I'd love to have some way of opening the car up without going for the convertible, but I understand why it probably won't happen. Not having one isn't a deal breaker for the Camaro yet, but if they offer a mid-size RWD Pontiac (basically a baby G8) with similar engine options, having the sunroof option would be a point in its favor.
