Nice, I wanted to go to one of the track days at the Ridge Motorsports Park this year but work has me tied up, if there's any non super expensive events in July might try and make it out there. Also curious how much did you end up paying for the day?

That's a nexar beam camera.

It cost about 20 bucks for the scca weekend membership, and 160 for the event. My insurance wouldn't cover something during this kind of thing, so I got some extra track day coverage through Hagerty. $$ so that's one thing to consider.

You can go without the track day insurance, but this car is my daily, and didn't want to risk it.

It's a blast, and I'd recommend anybody do it at least once!

Man that sounds fun, looking at events for late June and July seems only clubs running events are asking around $400-600 per day, at least for first time thing, did also look at events at Pacific Raceways but only track days I can see are their one day driving school thing that's $800 for a day. Guess I'll have to wait until next year, just wish all the track days were formatted properly so it wasn't a pain to find them and their pricing.

If I were up in your region I'd jump on board with HOD. Like you said around $500 or so for newbs but they cater to beginners and hobbyist high speed drivers, at least in my area. Remember, $500 is a lot cheaper than tickets, lawyers and a night in the hoosegow!

haha, thanks sir! I try really hard to keep her that way, I never know when I might want to attend a show. They have them every weekend here! It's tough because I DO NOT have a garage, just a carport to protect her. So with the time of year here the trees are pollenating all over her, she turns yellow and dusty. Plus if it storms out, she will get wet and dirty. So many folks at the shows can't believe she is 13 years old with 129k miles and still looks like brand new!! Heck, I even had an owner of a new gen Camaro ask me how do I keep her so "shiney"!! TLC..

Holy crap Batman!!! Awesome build!! To be just 7hp away from a grand, all I can say is WELL DONE SIR!! That's gonna be a ton of fun, if and when you can get her hooked up. I see the need in the future that you're goona need a set of those M&H Racemaster slicks they run on the Pro Stockers!!
