Adam's Americana vs MSW?

Planning on picking up a portle cable soon and wondering which you guys prefer? I don't know whether to go with the MSW, or americana and brilliant glaze..

Let me know your guys opinions!

Thanks

my understanding is the machine wax is super durable, the americana and glaze is more for appearance. I've got 2 coats of americana that do seem to hold up pretty well so far though...

Adam's americana wax is for show yes, but it is also durable. I can't remember off of the top of my head but I believe (1) coat of Adam's americana wax is 7mm thick. Which gives you the best protection out of any of the (affordable) waxes on the market. I say affordable because there are some $400-$500 waxes out there that have magic mixed in with them.

It's been said that two coats of Americana equals the durability of one coat of MSW. I only use the MSW if I already have the PC out from polishing. Otherwise I just layer Americana.

MSW is a sealant...put a thin coat on with the PC, let sit for 20 min, remove, let cure for at least 12 hours, remove with detail spray

go over the car with the brilliant glaze, remove

go over the car with americana, remove and enjoy the shine

+1 This is exactly what I do. I also put the Brilliant Glaze on before the Americana.

Adam's Machine Super Wax is actually now called Machine Super Sealant.

Just as an FYI. The wax isn't 7 mm (millimeters) thick, as that is just a tad over 5/16".

Yea a coat of wax leaves a few microns of protection.. No product on the market is 7mm thick as stated above. Americana is a carnauba mixed with polymers for durability. It lasts a while for a carnauba based wax due to it being fortified with polymers, and compared to more expensive waxes ($100+++) its every bit as good. I own more than a few high dollar waxes (dodo juice supernatural ($200) fuzion ($175), midnight sun($60)) and Americana is still my go-to wax.

I did that earlier this week and I'm quite happy with it
