I just received an email from my dealer in Canada. The owner of the dealership I'm buying from is making an inquiry to find out what is going on. The sales manager says there is still no movement on any of these cars...(for Canada?)

Can't drive right now anyway...we have snow. AGAIN!

"....I checked on your status today and found you had moved to event code 3800(produced). We have a VIN for you....it is 2G1FT1EWXA9104709.

Just called the dealer, I'm at 3100.

These puppies are cranking out faster than I expected, I ordered on 3/31...

I am the second at my dealer, so that may be a factor...

So yes I know that I should post this in the stickied thread but it wouldnt get the attention I would like if I did.

That being said...

I've been keeping track of UCF's spastic squirrel database and the total number of cars has not changed in quite a while. Is the database inaccurate? Is it outdated and not kept up? Does it recieve its information in large packets over time? Is production really that slow?

Sorry for the question I just really want to know when cars from my dealer are produced so i know when I move up in line...

We are not getting any updates because GM has removed all Camaros from their Window Sticker pages. Don't know why, don't know if it will come back. Hopefully we'll be back in business soon.

Maybe some of the salesman were getting pissed that we knew more than they did and complained.

Wouldn't doubt it. Also wouldn't doubt that dealers complained about their competitors getting cars before them. And the Avis situation.... Although they can lookup cars by VIN, I don't think they can see all the sold orders that have been built in the format like we have it.

I'm tellin'ya, GM has instituted an informational lock down!

Woot & Heinz are not getting updates.
The DBC won't give TPWs.
Workbench is no longer giving TPWs.

I'm tellin' ya! GM must have stopped the flow of info about these cars. If someone has a better explanation, feel free to give it.

Dealers didnt like the fact that i called up and asked about the cars and had VIN's in hand LOL
