My VIN # 6125 just showed up. Yours shouldn't be that much longer. And I don't think they repair/QC in exact VIN order.

Correct. They show up once it's been invoiced which is nowhere close to in order which is causing the troubles for my search tool.

At what point in the process is it invoiced? Prior to shipping? While it's shipping? When it's in QC?

For me, I was initially invoiced about 4 days after my car was built. Of course, my car was built almost 30 days ago (and I mean completed, it was going down the line and very close to the end, this time last month).

It's normally invoiced about the same time it's shipped. There have been cases where the car arrived and no invoice until several days later as well as cars that haven't shipped (maybe were going to ship but got stuck in QC) but have already been invoiced.

Any idea on what VIN they are up to now? I thought I saw someone post a VIN over 10000, but don't see it on the database.

If you read... well anything... you'd see why there's a difference between produced and what's showing up here.

Sorry, I seemed to have missed it in the ONE HUNDRED AND F'ING TWENTY ONE page thread. I was more curious on whether or not there was a problem searching for a vin over 10000.

I just said it two posts above yours and it's also in the first post. I guess reading the same page you posted on is too much to expect. If there was a problem above 10000, it would've been posted about. We just haven't had cars invoiced above 10000 yet.

Before when they were showing up as they were built it was easy to just scan the previous hundred and the next 400 (a total of 500 cars) but now it seems sporadic. Also since soo many cars were held in QC, they are showing up way out of order. So basically I still have my largely ineffective automated scan running daily but I'm also kicking off a complete manual scan every couple days.

And yours is there now (may have just been added).
Gee...I wonder where I got the idea that perhaps there was an issue of looking for VINs over 10000....hmmm...
