Should be a Hotwheels only option...part of the package price.

If that color was available when I bought my '12 SS, I would have honestly paid $1000 extra if it was required. However, I don't think it should cost that much, it should be the same as the other 'extra cost' colors were.
Of course that's a moot point because they aren't going to offer it. Hopefully they'll come out with a *very* similar blue in the near future if not KBM. That is, by far, the best color I have seen on a Camaro.

To be an extra cost for me the cost would need to be justified. For example a two stage paint or painted at a different facility.
But I do think this is the best looking color released on the 5th gen.

I agree. I've been trying to figure out what color to get a 1LE in, and when this car popped up the other day I said that's it! It's a beautiful color and I can only imagine how good it looks in person. I'm not paying $7000 for it though when I can pay half that for a 1LE and actually get some performance for it.

The poll needs a $6995 choice. Cause according to the info, it's a one time color in that package only. So if you want it, you'll be paying $6995.
Just bring back ABM. There has been a demand for it's return for years. Why not give the customers what they are asking for. Tons of people have been asking for a great medium blue.... and then one comes up in a 7 grand special package. Canofcrap is whay I call that. |

Surely ONE more paint hopper can be installed on the line to facilitate adding this color to the lineup. |

ABM didn't cost extra at the time I ordered so I don't think KBM should cost extra either, but if they had to charge, I would go with $325 because that's what they charge for the premium colors on the camaro. $500 is cutting it close. I would never go over that though, especially for a paint color.

All in all, pretty interesting numbers. Over half of the people who answered would pay something to get Kinetic Blue. Not entirely scientific based on the community here, but interesting food for thought nonetheless.

I'd pay $500 maybe even up to $1K, but not $7K.

If I was purchasing a 2SS/RS 1LE, and KBM was available as an extra cost color..............I would definitely pay $500.00 for it. I'd probably even break down and pay $1,000.00 for it.
My reasoning for that is simple. If I were to buy this car in some other color, and pay a body shop to paint my car, nose to tail, in KBM it would probably cost $5000 or more? But that would still cost less than the hotwheels package, and I wouldn't have all those stupid hotwheels logos and heavy ass 21" wheels. |
