My vote is for NPP, you can put the exhaust in Stealth mode, very quiet. I keep mine in track, and even driving, especially with the windows up, it is very comfortable and not loud at all.

I agree I pulled the fuse for my NPP and it still isn't loud as I want it.

I agree with the NPP suggestions. I haven't heard enough of the SS without NPP but I can guarantee NPP in stealth mode will be much more quiet.
I think the car with the windows up, even in track mode, seems much more quiet than it actually is from the inside. I also think my neighbors hate me and think I'm speeding because I leave it in sport mode coming down the street and get an occasional dirty look. I think humans equate sound with speed, just look at this prank video to prove it: I'm veering off topic though. I just don't see any aftermarket companies making a quieter exhaust and expecting it to be a big seller.

I'm with you OP. The NPP gives you a jekyll and hyde option, very quiet in Tour, and Snow&Ice or much more aggressive in Sport and Track. At the drag strip people can't believe the sound my car makes stock. And even though it is louder the loud settings have no drone and a sweet sound at part throttle.
One thing though, I think no matter the mode you are in NPP reverts to a loud startup. I wish I could turn that off.

Hey Guys - thanks for the input (and respect from SOME!). I'll go give the NPP version a listen. Hope to see you all out there.

Hey, just to "put a fork in it" I thought I'd let you guys know I found the perfect exhaust note. It came with a low mileage 2009 C6 attached! Beautiful sound on startup, and motoring around but just right (for me) when the NPP opens up. Wow, so I guess I'm not a Camaro owner after all, but very satisfied.
Thanks! |

You can lock the exhaust in any mode you want via the driver menu, and the use the mode selector too change the card other attributes. Stealth or Tour exhaust for you. Tour still will bark a little when you get on it. Stealth mode won't.

My Challeger was whisper quite. My 1SS base dual exhaust is OK quite. I've heard the NPP and absolutely hated it both closed and especially open.... I've added front cat bypass and it is just a tinge louder when I get on it.
