It's annoying to me and has lots of drone. Don't take anyone's word for it. Just find some folks in your area, and listen for yourself. Or, just go for it!

If you just want it loud and don't care about drone at all, just take your car to your local muffler shop and have them weld in a matching set of resonators that fit in place of the stock mufflers. I ran with that for awhile. Sounded pretty cool, but I'm not 18 anymore and the drone on my first 600 mile road trip gave me and my passenger the worst headaches! I'd be surprised if you couldn't get what for you're looking for for less than $300 installed.

Good luck!

I got the Flowmaster Super 40s on my v6 and they sound great! The tips that I put on quieted the drone a lot, which I was saddened about because it sounded good to me. I know a lot of people don't like that drone though.

Good advice...

I'm 36 and the MRT V1 doesn't bother me in the least. Got a 97 Z28 at the house as well...nice and loud and not annoying. I've been in cars that have plenty of drone. To me, mine isn't as bad as some others.

Ive got the MRT 1.0 and think it sounds great, but there is definitely drone. It actually scares my three year old daughter, so even though they've only been on my car for three weeks, the MRT is coming off next Saturday. I'll be selling the MRT and going with a solo cat back system - no drone
