so i read thru the first 25 pages and havent seen tihs one....
the forward driving lights broadcast a Chevy Bow Tie emblem.
Had the garage door closed and pressed the remote start. sure looks like the chevy bow tie lit on the door...

Why would you be sitting in the car with the doors locked? Is this a manual transmission thing? The doors unlock when you put it in park in an auto.

It's called INDEXING. Corvettes/XLR have it as well because they have frame-less windows. It helps seal the windows once U close your door.

While the mechanical speedometers could be off 10 out of 10 read fast. You were never going as fast as they indicated unless you changed to radically larger tires. Or swapped the rear end ratio at which time you simply replaced the gear in the transmission tailshaft which drove the cable.

Take your Camaro out and find one of those roadside radar speed displays.

Or you can just time yourself on the measured mile on the interstate. I usually do it over a 5 mile run and then calculate out my actual speed to my indicated speed. You can also check your odometer that way.
I had a new 76 Malibu that the mechanical speedometer was off by 6 mph..... Unfortunately it was showing 6 mph slower than I was going. I didn't know that until I got a speeding ticket for doing 66 in a 55. I thought I was just doing 60...

the unlock button is under the stereo. I seriously do not drive my car enough and my wife taught me this about a year after owning it.

It's been an option on the 5th Gen's since they've been made. Some dealers add them themselves. I have a spare tire because my dealer ordered it.
