halo kit REMOTE controller BROKEN

Pm Jeremy at JDP. He will get back with u. From what he told me some of the controllers have seperated some. Yours completly seperated.

I found this one on Ebay for $19.99 but it has a controller with it which you wouldn't need. Seems like you should be able to buy the same remote or a like remote that will work. I mean we did two cars at my house and we used each others remote during pre-testing to ensure all was well before install.

I found the same issue when I pulled mine apart to glue the white cover back on as instructed by JDP. There were only 3 screws where there should have been 7.

As an update to my issue, JDP is sending me a new remote after being able to resolve the issue. The red light just continues to flash no matter what I did. Hopefully the new remote works better!

I suggest calling them. I had no issue getting through and the customer service I got from Jeremy was great. Their number is on the website which for some reason I cannot get to at work.

I called JDP today and spoke with Jordan. They instructed me to take the face apart from the body of the remote, and put glue on the edges of the face, and the outer perimeter of the body of the remote and seal it back together. I went to the auto parts store, got some gorilla glue, and did as instructed. My remote is now sealed, and is in perfect working condition.

Anyone who is still having issues after gluing the remote, try putting the remote right against your bumper. I had mine 4-5 feet away and the colors would change a few times then the remote would stop working. I have been in contact with Jeremy and he was about to send me a whole new kit because they are so awesome! I did some more testing by putting the remote in contact with my bumper several inches from the module and it works flawlessly.

I am wondering if there is something in the bumper that restricts the signal. I was having the same problem with my new light bar. The remote would not work 5 feet from the light, but 2ft and closer works like a charm.

I'm not sure, the consistency of the remote signal is weird at times ; I was able to get it to work at 12-15 feet away by holding the remote to my chin.

Put the remote to your chin and for some reason it increases the signal strength. Sounds weird but it works. BSX_CAMARO hooked me up with that tip which I thought was crazy til I tried items.

so i fixed my remote. although i kinda made a mess with the gorilla glue all over the remote. good thing i was wearing gloves. it works now but im still pisssed that it broke that way
